The LA Clippers are heavily pursuing Todd Wright — the strength coach of the Philadelphia 76ers, with hopes of beefing up their coaching staff.
Per Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer, the Clippers are looking to add Wright to a high-ranking position on their sports science department.

The Clippers want to hire Wright for a high-ranking position in their sports science department, and the offer could be hard to pass up.
Wright has been the 76ers' strength coach for the past four years. Prior to that, he served the strength and conditioning coach for the University of Texas men’s basketball team for 14 years.
Wright is expected to work closely with Kawhi Leonard who was sidelined with a quadriceps injury in the 2017-2018 season. Last year with the Raptors, Leonard was under load management and has since recovered. But as the Clippers' new star, Leonard is expected to be in tip-top shape. And that's where Wright will enter into the picture.
For the past months, the 76ers have lost members of their coaching staff who have flocked to other teams. Lindsay Harding, the team's player-development coach, resigned last week to accept an assistant coaching job with the Sacramento Kings. They have also parted ways with the vice president of athlete care, Dr. Daniel Medina; director of performance research and development Dr. David Martin; massage therapist Sergei Khmelevski; and shooting guard John Townsend.
