The Los Angeles Clippers are enjoying a strong start, with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George starting to click exactly like what head coach Doc Rivers envisioned it when they landed the duo last summer. Unfortunately for the Clips, though, they are experiencing something they didn't expect: the injury bug!
Clippers guards Lou Williams and Patrick Beverley have been ruled out of the team's Saturday matchup with the Chicago Bulls.
Williams, who missed Friday night's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, is out with a calf injury. Meanwhile, Beverley is sidelined with a concussion suffered against the Toronto Raptors last Wednesday night. He, too, missed Friday's game.
Lou Williams and Pat Beverley are out tonight in addition to Kawhi Leonard, Doc Rivers says.

It will be interesting to see how the health of the Clippers will play out as the season progresses. As mentioned in update, Leonard will also be out for Saturday's contest.
Article Continues BelowLeonard is the face of the league's load management crisis. Part of his regimen is to not play in back-to-backs. So, Leonard sitting out was to be expected.
But while Leonard and George are big parts in the Clippers' NBA title aspirations, Beverley and Williams are also integral. Championship teams are born out of talent, coaching and a team that's willing to work together, but also part of that is a team's ability to stay healthy throughout the grueling 82-game season.
If you're skeptical about this, ask the 2015 Cleveland Cavaliers and the 2019 Golden State Warriors.
Nevertheless, the Clippers are taking the steps necessary to be ready for the playoff run. Another team to ask about this tactic? The 2019 Toronto Raptors. They can thank Leonard for that.
