The LA Clippers will continue to be without star forward Paul George as he recovers from a torn UCL in his right elbow. On Tuesday, the team announced that they're extending the rest period for George ‘a few more weeks.'
ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski was first with the report:
“The Clippers are going to extend that initial 3-4 week period of rest for Paul George likely for a few more weeks. They want to see how this elbow heals, how it responds to the rest.”

On Monday, just a day prior to this news, Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue said there was nothing new on George.
“Not anything we're ready to discuss right now. So really no update.”
Article Continues BelowPaul George initially suffered the injury in a game against the Portland Trail Blazers on December 6th. He missed the next give games, and returned against the San Antonio Spurs on December 20th. George hasn't played in three and a half weeks, with his last appearance coming against the Sacramento Kings on December 22nd. Three days later, on Christmas Day, an MRI revealed a torn UCL in his right elbow, and he's been sidelined ever since.
George made a public appearance alongside Clippers co-star Kawhi Leonard and Dodgers star Mookie Betts at the Wild Card Game between the Los Angeles Rams and Arizona Cardinals. George was apparently welcomed with rains of boos when announced on the big board at SoFi Stadium, which isn't in the least bit surprising.

In just 26 appearances this season, George averaged 24.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 2.0 steals per game. He did struggle to shoot the ball converting on just 42.1 percent of his field goal attempts and 32.3 percent of his threes.
Through 45 games, the Clippers have accumulated a 22-23 record, good for eighth in the Western Conference, but still in the play-in tournament.
