Los Angeles Clippers small forward Paul George's mom had a stroke when he was just a child. As a result, Paulette George hasn't been able to travel as much to watch her son play.

That's why George is thrilled to be back home in Los Angeles playing for the Clippers. George's parents will be at every home game, and PG knows it's going to be a special feeling seeing his parents on a nightly basis at Staples Center:

“It just means a lot,” George told Rachel Nichols of ESPN. “At this point in my career, that's me giving back to them. For me to have them here on a nightly basis, it's just special every way you look at it.”

Paul George was born in Palmdale, California. His idol was Kobe Bryant, but PG was a Clippers fan growing up. George is literally living out a childhood dream right now, so this is memorable for the George family.

Both George and Kawhi Leonard are from California, and both players have emphasized the importance of playing close to home. With PG and Kawhi leading the way, the Clippers are going to be a force on both sides of the ball, giving them legitimate title aspirations.
