Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard explained his dunk on Boston Celtics center Daniel Theis and his game-saving block of point guard Kemba Walker in the most boring way possible. Perhaps too on brand for his own good.

While the two were arguably his two biggest plays of the game, Leonard resorted to giving a brief play-by-play of the action in ways that would make golf enthusiasts proud.

“Patrick threw me the ball, I took two dribbles into the paint and I tried to jump high and dunk the basketball,” he said about his dunk over Theis, to the laughter of the present media members.

His classic response wouldn't end there, next describing his play against Walker, which prevented a second overtime period.

“Kemba got open for a three and I jumped and I jumped my highest to try to contest it and I got a block,” he said.

One would guess the plays weren't all that great due to that bread sandwich, no mayo, no meat, no lettuce-type response — but the two were actually game-changing feats.

Leonard's dunk over Theis gave the Clippers some real momentum and one they needed playing on their home floor.

The block of the 6-foot Walker 3-pointer capped a strong overtime effort after Jayson Tatum sent it to extra time with a clutch 3-point basket. Leonard made sure that didn't happen twice in the same game.

Perhaps nothing sums Leonard better than this combination — two-way talent with little to no ego — a coach's dream in every sense of that phrase.
