Despite the Golden State Warriors adding one of the best players in the world, Kevin Durant, to their already stacked roster, Los Angeles Clippers head coachDoc Rivers isn’t ready to hand them the Larry O’Brien trophy just yet.
Rivers believes that his team can go toe-to-toe with the Warriors and renew an old rivalry with the organization.
“I think we can play with anybody, and we don't feel like there's a gap,” Rivers told ESPN’s Ramona Shelbourne. “That's all we have to prove, and I think everyone has to prove that.
“I know history very well in this league, and there's been a lot of superteams put together, quote-unquote, superteams, and I know the history. I feel comfortable where we're at.”

While Rivers will be aware of the threat that Golden State poses, he will be too focused on what is happening in Los Angeles to worry about anyone else.
“I mean, really, we like our team,” Rivers said of the Clippers. “I can't go into their team, Oklahoma's team. That's not for me. I like our team.”
If anyone knows how superteams work, it’s Rivers. He had the responsibility of coaching the big three of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen. Doc led them to an NBA championship in 2008.
