Training camp is all about developing chemistry and cohesion on the roster. As such, Los Angeles Lakers teammates JaVale McGee and Lonzo Ball are already working on theirs. But they aren't limiting their time together on the court.
McGee and Ball are reportedly working on making some music together, according to Sam Alipour of ESPN.
Sam Alipour: You released an album earlier this year as a producer. You gonna try to make some music with Lonzo Ball, your new teammate and rapper?
JaVale McGee: Definitely. I was in the studio with Zo the other day, cooking up some stuff.
Perhaps McGee and Ball should stick to their day jobs, but that fruit is hanging far too low. It's a good thing that they are making music together. It's something they're both passionate about and life can't be about basketball all the time.

McGee is known to quietly produce tracks without trying to force it down anyone's throat or force collabs with artists because he's a professional athlete. McGee spoke with Natalie Maher of Billboard back in April and he said:
“I spoke to Drake about it before, but I really just don’t think people take me serious. And I’m not the guy to keep hitting people, like, ‘You want to? You want to?’ Just nah. I’d rather have it come out and everybody hears my music, and now they wanna work with me. It’s better to build a relationship that way.”
If Ball and McGee can form a deeper relationship because of their mutual interest off the court, that should be music to the ears of Lakers fans.
