The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 94-85 in Game 2 and were able to tie up the series. It was another physical game, but the Lakers fought and were led by their stars, LeBron James and Luka Doncic. The Lakers had a 20-point lead at one point, but the Timberwolves cut down their deficit at one point. Head coach JJ Redick clearly didn't like how the Lakers were playing, called a timeout, and started yelling at the team.
It must have worked because the Lakers came out and extended their lead once again. After the game, James was asked about Redick getting frustrated during the game.
“We know JJ is going to spazz out from time to time,” James said. “At this point, we need to listen to the message and not how he delivers it.”

There was no doubt that the Lakers listened to the message, and now, the series is tied as they head to Minnesota for Game 3. Redick already knew what the Lakers needed to do to correct their mistakes from Game 1, and a different team came out to play for Game 3.
It seems like they also made things hard for Anthony Edwards, even though he finished the game with 25 points. After the game, Edwards said that every time he got the ball, the Lakers would go into a zone, and he thought it was confusing, per reporter Harrison Faigen.
With the series tied, the Timberwolves are definitely going to try and take advantage since they were able to take a game on the road. If the Lakers want to win this series, they're going to have to win one on the road as well, and after winning Game 2, they should have the confidence to do so. So far, they should see that it's not going to be an easy task, especially with a team like the Timberwolves.
