Los Angeles Lakers president Magic Johnson had quite a busy night on Sunday. However, it had very little to do with basketball, as the 59-year-old Hall of Famer apparently had his eyes glued on the Oscars.
It was as if Johnson was providing a play-by-play account of all the action that went down during the 91st Academy Awards via his own Twitter feed. Here's a look at some if his tweets, proving that the Lakers head honcho was in an absolute congratulatory mood on Sunday:

However, it wasn't just the major awards Magic was tweeting about. Being the true Hollywood citizen that he is, the five-time NBA champion could not help but also send congratulatory tweets to the winners of the less prestigious awards:
Cookie and I want to congratulate our good friend @ReginaKing on winning the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in If Beale Street Could Talk!

Speaking of Spike Lee, Magic Johnson was intent on reminding the entire Twitterverse about how much he loves the prominent director and known New York Knicks fanatic:
Congratulations to Spike Lee, Charlie Wachtel, David Rabinowitz, and Kevin Willmott!

It makes me feel so proud to see Spike Lee win an Oscar. I remember when he was making Malcolm X. I believed in it so much that I invested in it. Huge congratulations to Spike!!!

Finally, Johnson was very impressed with pop star Lady Gaga throughout the evening, even going as far as complimenting her on her fashion sense:
Congratulations to @ladygaga for winning Best Original Song, “Shallow” from a Star Is Born!
— Earvin Magic Johnson (@MagicJohnson) February 25, 2019
Lady Gaga you have to tell me where you got your beautiful necklace!

Needless to say, Johnson had an absolute blast watching the Oscars on Sunday. It was, perhaps, a momentary break from reality for him, as he will now need to realign his focus on the struggles of his squad.
The playoffs are fast approaching, and there are still a lot of problems to solve within the Lakers, so Magic Johnson will be a very busy man in the next few months.
