Just hours after the Phoenix Suns celebrated a trip to the Western Conference Finals against the Los Angeles Clippers, a viral video surfaced on the internet. However, the clip was of the Los Angeles Lakers and Kobe Bryant just moments after winning their own Western Conference title to head to the NBA Finals.

The Lakers were extremely stoic and laser-focused on the NBA Finals and nothing else, just a year after losing to the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals. Kobe Bryant's face says it all– championships mattered to them.
Well, then came an epic comment from Shaquille O'Neal as the clip went viral on the internet.
Shaq's comment is hilarious. Is it the truth?
Well, Kobe had the mentality basically since he came into the league, so it is hard to tell. The superstar duo of Kobe and Shaq was the most formidable at that time and will go down in history as one of the best 1-2 punches in NBA history.
Perhaps Shaq taught Kobe some of that championship mentality during their successful run together with the Lakers. Either way, Shaq always finds a way to crack jokes, so it is hard to tell on this one.
The 2020-21 Lakers lost in the first round of the playoffs, and LeBron James and company will surely try and channel this mentality in order to find their way back to the NBA Finals next season.
