Differing from other previous reports, the Los Angeles Lakers aren't just considering a trade, but now are “actively seeking out offers” for hybrid guard Jordan Clarkson, according to Jordan Schultz of Sports Illustrated.

This comes only a day after Moke Hamilton of Basketball Insiders reported that the team was “increasingly open-minded” about trading Clarkson for what seems to be the selection of UCLA freshman Lonzo Ball with the No. 2 overall pick.

If this indeed rings true to the Lakers' intentions, the front office will have exactly three weeks to pull off the move, which could potentially take until draft night to come to fruition.

If the purple-and-gold isn't able to rid itself of Clarkson, it could potentially face a logjam at the guard position with the likes of starter D'Angelo Russell and an exciting prospect in David Nwaba, along with him and Ball fighting for playing time.

The Missouri star had a consistent third season in the league and saw his averages take a slight hit due to lesser minutes on the court.

Still, the 24-year-old Clarkson has shown to be an improved shooter and an athletic play-finisher with averages of 14.7 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.1 steals this past season.
