Heading into 2021 NBA training camp with a chip on their shoulders, the Miami Heat are re-tooled and ready to make some noise this season. After a disappointing first round exit from last year's playoffs, the Heat are poised for a major turnaround during the 2021-22 NBA season and will be out to show the entire league that they're more than capable of winning back the Eastern Conference.
Now that they've got a revamped roster and all of their key rotation players back at full strength, the Heat are looking to win the NBA title and bring the Larry O'Brien Trophy back to South Beach in 2022. With all this in the fold for Miami, let's now take a look at two potential trade candidates for the Heat entering 2021 NBA training camp.
Heat targets:
Myles Turner
The addition of Myles Turner would give the Heat a major upgrade at the center spot. With his can-do attitude he’d be a perfect fit for the Heat culture. As a mobile big man that can play power forward or center, he would fit in perfectly with their style of position-less basketball. Not to mention his well-rounded game on both ends of the floor would give the Heat the perfect big man to have playing alongside Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and Kyle Lowry.
Between their defensive tenacity, athleticism, and multi-faceted scoring approach, they’d be a nightmare scenario for opposing teams on a nightly basis. With this move, the Heat would move back into the upper echelon of the Eastern Conference and be poised for another surprise run to the NBA Finals.

If there's one area of need the Heat absolutely must address prior to the start of their 2021 campaign, then it's without question a long-term solution at the center spot, and in Myles Turner they'd be getting exactly that.
Brandon Ingram
With all the drama currently surrounding Zion Williamson, it may lead to him getting traded sooner than expected. If that does wind up happening, then it won't be long before Brandon Ingram asks for a trade from the Pelicans. On the Heat he would continually elevate his game playing under title winning head coach Erik Spoelstra.
Plus with All-Star talent like Butler, Lowry, and Adebayo on the roster, Ingram's game would be a perfect complement to these guys and give the Heat an exciting new big four. At just 24 years of age, Ingram and Adebayo would give the Heat their superstar duo of the future that they could continually build around after Butler and Lowry retire.
On the Heat, Brandon Ingram would develop a lot of defensive tenacity while providing them with a ton of scoring and becoming one of the league's most complete players. If the Heat were to acquire Ingram via trade, then they would become the biggest threat to dethroning the Bucks and overtaking the Nets as Eastern Conference champions in 2022 while looking to bring home their fourth title in franchise history.
