Things certainly got chippy during the final preseason tilt between the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat.
Heat frontman Jimmy Butler and Celtics new addition Dennis Schroder got tangled up during a rebound sequence, with Schroder ending up trying to trip Butler as he tried to run down the court.

Butler evidently had his foot stomped on Schroder's shoe for a handful of seconds and the Celtics guard tried to retaliate via less subtle means. But it was only Schroder who was penalized, garnering himself a flagrant foul and two free-throws for the Heat forward.
Schroder was certainly guilty of that trip, but they did let Butler off the hook for the lead up.

That incident in the middle of the second quarter, with the Celtics still up nine points, sparked a huge turnaround for the Heat. They took the lead before halftime and ended up winning the contest by 21 points, 121-100. Butler finished the game with 25 points, four rebounds, and four assists.
The beef between Butler and Schroder was already simmering earlier in the contest. The Celtics guard drew the brunt of the contact from Jimmy Buckets during a first-quarter drive, and got called for the blocking foul to add insult to injury.

The two teams face off again early in the season as the Celtics travel to Miami for a Nov. 5 contest.
