The Miami Heat take on the Washington Wizards Friday in South Beach, and shooting guard Dwyane Wade is active.
Wade missed the Heat's previous game versus the Cleveland Cavaliers due to an illness. He participated in Friday's morning shootaround, a good sign Wade will play against the Wizards.

The Heat enter Friday with a record of 18-18, good for sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

In his final season in the NBA, Wade is averaging 14.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. The 12-time All-Star and future Hall of Famer is shooting 41.2 percent from the field, 32.7 percent from beyond the arc and 70.3 percent from the free-throw line.
Wade is third on the Heat in points per game this year, trailing only guards Josh Richardson and Goran Dragic. Wade comes off the bench for the Heat and is playing around 25 minutes a night. The fans in Miami have to be pleased anytime Wade plays at home considering this is his final season.
Miami has exceeded expectations this season and looks like a playoff team right now. It would be great to see Dwyane Wade compete in the postseason one more time, so hopefully the Heat can keep this up for the entire year.
