Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade achieved another career milestone on Friday as the regular season – and quite possibly his career – comes to a close.
According to the Miami Heat Twitter account, after pouring in 21 first half points against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Wade registered the 14th 1000-point season of his career. Likewise, Wade, who embraced his role as a full-time reserve for Miami, became the 6th player to achieve the feat above while coming off the bench.

Wade scored just three more points in the second half, finishing with 24 points in the game.
As great as his feat was, there is no question that Wade would have preferred if they got the win. Unfortunately, they lost another heartbreaker, 111-109.
The three-time NBA champion showed that he wanted it badly last night, especially in the last couple of plays. With less than 15 seconds to go and Minnesota up three, Wade got a crucial steal and fastbreak finish to cut the lead down to one. Minny made just one of their freethrows at the other end, which opened the door for Miami.
Wade had a chance to win the game at the buzzer with a three, and did have a pretty good look at it, but his shot hit the front of the rim.
The loss further puts Miami's playoff hopes in jeopardy. They are currently at the ninth spot in the East, trailing the Brooklyn Nets and the Detroit Pistons.
The Heat have three games left, and each one is a must-win. They visit the Toronto Raptors on Sunday, host the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday, and visit the Brooklyn Nets on the last day of the regular season.
The last one against the Nets should be good.
