Former NBA great Dwyane Wade was one of the judges during the 2020 Slam Dunk Contest, and he feels he has some explaining to do to Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon.
The contest featured a spectacular final between Gordon and Miami Heat swingman Derrick Jones Jr. While Jones ended up with the trophy, there was a mini controversy surrounding the scoring, and the result sparked Twitter outrage on Gordon's behalf.
Wade said he hoped to have Gordon on his Instagram Live show in order to explain what went down during a stream with longtime Heat teammate Udonis Haslem.

Some wondered whether Wade was playing favoritism to Jones in the immediate aftermath.
These suspicions only heightened when it was reported the judges had initially planned to have the contest end in a draw after the second dunk-off (via ESPN):

Los Angeles Sparks star Candace Parker, another judge on the panel, confirmed that they had intended for the second dunk-off to result in a tie.
However, Wade responded by pointing out he was not the only one to award Jones with a score of “9” on his final dunk.

Regardless, the result certainly did not please Gordon, who said he would no longer compete in the contest. Gordon was arguably robbed of the title in a classic showdown with Zach LaVine in 2016.
Perhaps Wade can lend more clarity to the situation if Gordon agrees to appear on the show.
