Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra claimed that young players in this league should strive to emulate his superstar Jimmy Butler if they want to have a successful career.

Following Miami's thrilling 111-108 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 5 of the NBA Finals, Coach Spo had high praise for the two-way ace's amazing ability to impact the game at both ends of the floor.

Before taking his talents to South Beach to join the Heat this offseason, Jimmy Buckets wasn't exactly considered a role model for the younger generation. He carried a notorious reputation around the league following his messy exits with all three of the previous franchises he played with.

Turns out, Butler was an amazing teammate and needed just the perfect situation to truly shine. His leadership is already rubbing off on his younger teammates, as evidenced by their amazing performance in the Finals so far.

Duncan Robinson erupted for 26 points built on seven made 3-pointers on Friday, while Kendrick Nunn stepped up big for the injured Goran Dragic and pitched in 14 markers. The Butler effect can also be seen with Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro, who has been phenomenal throughout the Heat's magical run.

Jimmy Butler was initially viewed as a defensive specialist but worked hard to develop his offense in recent seasons. His refined skillset was on display in Game 5, as he hit clutch shots to keep Miami's season alive.

His mid-range game was remarkable, while his ability to get to the line was ultimately the game-changer for the Heat. Butler nailed two clutch free-throws to seal the win and force a Game 6 against the Lakers on Friday.

Erik Spoelstra, meanwhile, is certainly on-point with his message for the young guns. Butler, after all, is the walking embodiment of grit and grind to achieve success on and off the court.
