Hassan Whiteside is done with having words with rival big man Joel Embiid. The latter called the Miami Heat center words like “soft” and “dirty” after a play in which Whiteside tried to catch up with The Process in his way back on defense.

Embiid had accused Whiteside of pushing him from behind on purpose.

“He tried to hit me in the back, which is kind of dirty because of the fact that I’ve had back problems,” Embiid said before issuing a warning.

“We’re going to see about that. I won’t forget about that.”

According to the Tom D'Angelo of The Palm Beach Post, Whiteside said Embiid is “just another dude. He just talks more.”

“I'm not talking no more, no more talking,” Whiteside added. “No more talking. 2018, when he talks, no more.”

Both of these premier big men have gone back and forth for the past two seasons, competing for the title of the best center in the East.

While Embiid has gotten the best of Whiteside in the past, the 7-foot South Carolina native did come out on top this time, thanks to his 26 points and eight rebounds, leading the Heat to a key 108-99 win, which has now helped them to a seventh spot in the East.

Plays like these dominant dunks have done wonders for Whiteside's confidence, a confidence he will need to navigate the remaining 16 games of the season as Miami aims for the highest possible seed.
