It's a battle of two of the top teams in the Eastern Conference on Monday night as the Miami Heat visit the Philadelphia 76ers. Erik Spoelstra's squad is still rolling, going 7-3 in their last 10 games and winning two in a row. However, they haven't had one of their most important players on the floor in almost a week. That being said, is Jimmy Butler playing vs Sixers?

Butler has been listed as questionable for the last few games due to an ankle injury and that is once again the case for Monday's marquee matchup, according to Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer:

The Heat star rolled his ankle last Tuesday against the Detroit Pistons and left the contest early as a result. Health issues have actually been haunting Butler all season long, suiting up in just 48 of 71 games in 2021-22. Nevertheless, he's still posting impressive numbers, averaging 21.1 points, six rebounds, and 5.6 assists per night.
Butler is undoubtedly the leader of this Heat team and arguably their best player. That's exactly why it's such a positive sign Miami is still sitting in top spot in the East. It goes to show how much depth they really have, with the likes of Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, Bam Adebayo, and others all stepping up when called upon.
This doesn't seem to be a serious injury for the Heat veteran, considering he's only missed a few contests. So to answer the question, is Jimmy Butler playing tonight? It's definitely possible.
