With their season on the line, the Miami Heat are beaten up and tired. They have fought hard through the NBA playoffs and especially in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Boston Celtics. All that battling, though, has left them with a stuffed injury report heading into the win-or-go-home Game 6.
Miami has to overcome a lot of injuries to keep their season alive. According to Greg Sylvander of Five Reasons Sports, four of the team's starters (Jimmy Butler, Kyle Lowry, Max Strus and P.J. Tucker) and star sixth man (Tyler Herro) would not play through the ailments they have if it was the regular season.
A source close to the team told me 4 of 5 starters + the 6th man would NOT be playing if this was the regular season.
I think the org is going to be way less reactionary to this ending than the fanbase is expecting. https://t.co/xnPhPsgnkG

Butler is not listed on the Heat's injury report for Game 6 but has been dealing with right knee inflammation. Herro has missed the last two games with a groin injury. Lowry has dealt with a hamstring issue since the first round and has missed just as many games (eight) as he has played in this year's NBA playoffs.
Although teams fighting through injuries down the homestretch of the season is nothing new, the Heat are dealing with several of them to nearly all of their key players. They are down but not out. Even with their backs aching and against the wall, they are embracing the adversity and looking to get back to the Finals.
The Celtics are a superb team and have the upper hand in this series. The Heat will have to bring their best performance to Boston in order to force a Game 7.
