While the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers have built arguably the most talented lineups in the NBA today, many believe that it’s the secret to winning consistently and contending for a title. However, for Udonis Haslem, that is not the key to winning.

The veteran Miami Heat forward called out the “super teams” and said that most of the other franchises are not playing hard anymore, which results to them dominating. He then singled out the Dubs for doing both, resulting in being the favorites to win their second championship in three years.

Haslem’s comments are definitely controversial in nature and many teams may not agree with him. Not to take anything away from the Cavs and Warriors as well, but they have been playing well as a group and showed that they are the teams to beat in their respective conferences.

With the season almost over, front office executives are expected to make a lot of moves that could change the future of their teams and form the most competitive roster they can have. If a handful of them can add key pieces and also bolster their lineups through the draft, it could mean more contenders emerging and give the two finalists this year a run for their money. Until then, Haslem can stick to his belief, and hope that his words can serve as motivation for others to play harder, including his own squad.
