Giannis Antetokounmpo is having one of the best seasons ever for an NBA player, and his Milwaukee Bucks find themselves up 2-0 in the Eastern Conference Finals. With just two games standing between them and the NBA Finals, Antetokounmpo and his team are still finding the team and himself just as hungry for success as he ever was.

Speaking to The Athletic’s Michael Lee, Antetokounmpo discussed the hunger that drives the Bucks as everyone feeling like an underdog.

“That hunger comes from everybody. This team, nobody was a lottery pick, a lot of guys were second-round picks, a lot of guys who have motivation. A lot of guys come from nothing,” Antetokounmpo said. “This is an opportunity, and hopefully we can embrace this opportunity and get as much as we can from this.

“The job is not done,” he continued. “Once we win this series, we can try to think about how great this is, but right now, we’ve got to stay humble, stay hungry and try to close our ears and our eyes and don’t see what’s going on.”

Obviously, the Bucks still have two big games to win before they can think about taking on the Golden State Warriors or Portland Trail Blazers for an NBA Championship, but the fact that Antetokounmpo is discussing it surely shows that it’s been on his mind.

As his MVP-worthy season continues, Antetokounmpo has shown that he’s willing to do whatever it takes to make sure he wins, and as the Bucks slowly inch closer to the NBA Finals, the team's hunger will only grow.
