It's safe to say that Milwaukee Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer was extremely thrilled when he learned that Giannis Antetokounmpo had finally announced his supermax extension. Coach Bud himself even admitted that he had to get a hold of himself the moment he found out.
The 51-year-old described how his sons texted him the news as he was leaving the Bucks' Milwaukee practice facility earlier this week, and that he had to make sure he didn't run a red light while celebrating:

“It was a don’t-run-the-red-light moment and kill yourself (laughs). In the midst of the excitement, I was able to honor the red light and stop and do a little screaming and yelling with my boys.”
There had been plenty of rumors surrounding the Bucks superstar before he decided to sign on the dotted line. While the organization had confidence that Giannis would do so, there had to be some nervousness as the deadline approached and there was no deal, especially with so much talk about him hitting free agency.
But all is well that ends well, and now that Antetokounmpo has committed his future to the Bucks, this team is bound to challenge for the title for years to come. Milwaukee made a big splash by acquiring Jrue Holiday this past offseason, and the team is hoping he'll help be the difference after two straight disappointing playoff exits.
Budenholzer himself will also be under a microscope after he received criticism for his coaching in the bubble.
