Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the leading candidates to win the NBA's Most Valuable Player award this season, as he is averaging 27.4 points, 12.5 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.3 steals over 32.8 minutes per game while shooting 57.7 percent from the floor, 24.6 percent from 3-point range and 72.9 percent from the free-throw line.

Not only that, but Antetokounmpo has led the Bucks to the best record in the league.

Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer is not surprised by Antetokounmpo's outstanding production this year, saying that he wants to be the best player on the planet:

“He craves ways to get better, craves information, he seeks out Hakeem Olajuwon, Kobe. He really believes in making those steps,” said Budenholzer, according to Chris Ballard of Sports Illustrated. “He wants to be the best f—— player in the league and the world. You have to seek people out to learn and to grow. I love it because I don’t think it’s a strength of mine.”

Giannis Antetokounmpo was originally selected by Milwaukee in the first round (15th pick overall) of the 2013 NBA Draft.

While he did not make waves during his rookie campaign, registering just 6.8 points and 4.4 boards a night, he showed flashes of his immense potential immediately, and by his fourth year in the league, the man known as “The Greek Freak” was already an All-Star after posting 22.9 points, 8.8 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.9 blocks and 1.6 steals per game.

The 24-year-old has made the All-Star team in each year since, and the scary thing is that he is still getting better.
