When discussing the most explosive players in the NBA, one would be hard-pressed to name a more dynamic pair than Cleveland Cavaliers superstar forward LeBron James and Oklahoma City Thunder superstar point guard Russell Westbrook. To no surprise, the two have maintained their status among the elite players so far in the 2017-18 NBA season.
Both James and Westbrook have since been named the players of the month in their perspective conference for December, according to RealGM:

This is James' second consecutive month earning the honor after a tremendous start to the season. Although “The King” saw a slight dip in production since being honored in November, his numbers were impressive nonetheless. James averaged 27.5 points, 10.3 assists, and 8.2 rebounds while pouring in nearly two steals per game. Although December may not have ended the way James would have wanted, it was still a great month for the Cavs.
Meanwhile, Westbrook has taken back his central role within the Thunder offense after an inauspicious start to the year. As a result, he has gone back to his triple-double ways by averaging 27.8 points, 10.6 assists, and 10. 2 rebounds per game in December while currently checking in behind teammate and superstar forward Paul George for the league lead in steals this season. More importantly, he managed to get the Thunder into the thick of the Western Conference with a 12-5 record in December.
