Barnes played 929 career games for nine NBA franchises over the course of his 15-year career, averaging 8.2 points and 4.6 rebounds. He was originally drafted No. 46 overall by the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2002 NBA draft, although he was quickly traded and waived before the start of the season.

Known for his tough play and aggressive demeanor, Barnes didn’t stick around with teams for very long. His longest stint for a team was with the L.A. Clippers, with which he made his NBA debut in 2004. He spent four seasons overall with the Clippers and made a career-high 74 starts for them in the 2014-15 season.
One of Barnes’ career highlights was being part of the 2006-07 “We Believe” Warriors which famously knocked out the No. 1 seed Dallas Mavericks in six games in their first-round playoff series.
Barnes signed with the Warriors again last season after Kevin Durant went down with a knee injury. He played 20 games and made five starts for Golden State in the regular season, and made 12 appearances in the playoffs to earn a championship ring as part of the Warriors’ title-winning team.
