The former number one pick in the 2006 NBA draft, Andrea Bargnani, will be playing overseas after signing a deal with Spanish team, Saski Baskonia.
Bargnani last played for the Brooklyn Nets but was waived last February and has been without a team since then. He appeared in 46 games and averaged 6.6 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 0.4 assists in 13.8 minutes per game. The 30-year old struggled to find his role with the Nets, thus leading to his ouster.
Per David Pick, the deal is for two years:

The Italian native has played for two other teams in the NBA: the Toronto Raptors, who drafted him, and the New York Knicks.
After playing ten seasons in the league, many still believe that Bargnani is a bust because he has not lived up to the hype when he was one of the best players out of Europe in 2006. Now that he is back on the continent where it all started for him, Andrea has a chance to resurrect his career and prove his doubters wrong.
He has shown signs of brilliance in the past given his rare combination of size and shooting ability. Bargnani has drawn comparisons before to the likes of Dirk Nowitzki, the most successful international player of all-time.
Maybe he can come back to the NBA after a year or two.
