The Chicago Bulls have agreed to a two-way contract with French shooting guard Adam Mokoka, according to reports from The Athletic’s Darnell Mayberry. Mokoka is a 6-foot-5 guard who went undrafted this year after withdrawing from the 2018 NBA Draft, and will be looking to make a splash in the G-League.

With the Bulls hoping to sign someone who can develop into something of an NBA player, Mokoka could fit. He turns 21 this month, and has been playing internationally for seven years already, where he’s played professionally in both France and Serbia. The signing doesn't do much for the team in the moment, but is rooted more in the potential of Mokoka, and the team taking a chance to see if he'll turn into anything.

During his last season with Gravelines-Dunkerque, Mokoka didn’t average many eye-popping numbers. The shooting guard averaged just 3.2 points, 0.9 assist, and 1.7 rebounds per game, while shooting 34% from the field and 22% from the three-point line. During his time in France, he only saw about 14 minutes per game, and will hopefully be looking to develop and play more in an NBA environment.

For the Bulls, this is a small gamble on a possibly talented player, and with the team in no rush to move back to contending, it’s a smart move to possibly stash away someone who could help out in the long-term. For Mokoka, this will be a chance to live out a dream of playing in the NBA, and should he show signs of developing into a solid NBA player, he could see himself stepping onto an NBA court sooner rather than later.
