Retired NBA player Richard Jefferson seems to have a playful relationship with most of his ex-teammates. This extends even to Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, whom Jefferson trolled with a hilarious Instagram comment on Wednesday.

The King was obviously feeling himself after sharing his own highlight clip in the Lakers' 137-121 rout of the Minnesota Timberwolves in their last outing. LeBron James displayed his hang time at one point in the game and finished off a slick reverse lay-up in the third period.

Richard Jefferson saw LeBron's caption about putting some “English” on his layup and couldn't resist poking fun at his former Cleveland Cavaliers teammate.

The following comes from the Instagram of Laker ssuperstar LeBron James:

“I remember when this used to be Flight School… Now it's English Class,” Jefferson hilariously wrote about the Lakers star, alongside two laughing emojis.

Jefferson's retort, of course, is a shot at James' age, who just turned 36 last December. James is no stranger to posting his own highlights on his social media accounts, but it's usually a clip of his thunderous dunks over helpless defenders. RJ took notice and clowned LeBron for no longer teaching “Flight School” and settling for an under-the-rim “English Class” instead.

Nowadays, Richard Jefferson works as an analyst for ESPN so he is well aware that James still throws it down with impunity even in his 18th season in the league. Still, RJ will take every opportunity he can to tease the four-time MVP every chance he gets. For sure, The King won't mind Jefferson's digs since they have a strong relationship after winning an NBA title together in 2016.
