Former Los Angeles Clippers TV commentator Ralph Lawler says Mavs star Luka Doncic “is the best 20-year-old player the NBA has ever seen.”
Lawler, who is enjoying retirement, is looking forward to seeing his Clippers take on Luka and the Mavs on Tuesday up in Dallas:
I am going to go ahead and say it: “Luka Donic is the best 20 yr old player the NBA has ever seen.” Easily the best since Lebron.
Sorry Shaq, Sorry Magic, sorry Kobe. Can’t wait to see Luka and the Mavericks against the Clippers tonight.— Ralph Lawler (@Ohmeomy) November 26, 2019
Doncic is playing like an MVP in just his second season in the NBA. The Mavs' floor general is averaging 30.6 points, 10.1 rebounds and 9.8 assists per game while shooting 49.5 percent from the field, 34.7 percent from beyond the arc and 81.7 percent from the free-throw line.

Derrick Rose is the youngest MVP in NBA history. He won the award during the 2010-11 season with the Chicago Bulls at the age of 22. Doncic turns 21 in February. It will be interesting to see if he breaks Rose’s record this season. Rose led the Bulls to the best record in the NBA during his MVP campaign.
Doncic was named the Western Conference Player of the Week for week 5 of the NBA season. He put up 37.0 points, 11.8 assists and 8.5 rebounds as the Mavs went 4-0.
The Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings will forever regret not drafting this kid, as Doncic appears to be a generational talent.
