Once again, it looks like the case has been made for Michael Jordan being the proverbial G.O.A.T. Except this time, the coverage transcends the basketball court — it's sneaker sales.
According to Forbes, Michael Jordan's 2016 shoe earnings were higher than LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, and Kevin Durant combined.
While it isn't very surprising that Jordan leads all basketball shoe sales, it is still somewhat shocking that he still managed to best three incredibly popular players' combined revenue. Jordan saw a $110 million income in 2016, which was a whopping $78 million more than second place LeBron James' $32 million, who led all active players.

Kevin Durant is next with a $25 million mark, followed by Kobe's $16 million. James Harden ($14 million), Stephen Curry ($12 million), Derrick Rose ($11 million), and Damian Lillard ($10 million) rounded out the rest of the players with 8-figure revenue marks.
Although Jordan's legacy on the court is somewhat up for debate after a historic postseason by LeBron James, it looks like his sneaker accolades are safe and sound. At least, for now.
