As we get closer to NBA free agency, many teams are looking to round out their roster with someone who could try and deliver a championship to their franchises. After a five-year absence from the NBA, international basketball player Nando De Colo is headed back to the NBA, and looks to help any team that wants him.

According to a report from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, De Colo noted that he has asked his agents to begin looking into NBA opportunities. “I have asked my agents to explore NBA opportunities over the coming weeks,” De Colo said. “I am excited for the next challenge in my career.”

The 32-year-old recently finished a run with CSKA Moscow this year, where he averaged 14.7 points and 3.4 assists per game. Although De Colo hasn’t played an NBA game in five years, he still seems to have retained his skills, as he shot 45% on 3-pointers and helped CSKA win the EuroLeague championship for the second time during his time there. De Colo is also a three-time first-team All-EuroLeague player, and made the second-team twice.

The last time De Colo played in the NBA, it was during the 2013-14 season with the Toronto Raptors. IN fact, the Raptors still hold his rights as a player, and can send him a qualifying offer should any other team try to sign him. De Colo initially played for the San Antonio Spurs, where he was drafted in 2009 with the 53rd overall pick. Should he make a return, it'll be one of the most interesting talking points of free agency, especially considering how good he has been in Moscow.
