JR Smith is living his best life as a proud student at North Carolina A&T and he wants us to be part of the journey as he live tweets his school journey. The NBA Champion recently enrolled at NC A&T so that he can finish his studies and take his talents to the green to play golf and represent his school in the NCAA.
The 35-year-old would've been an awesome classmate no doubt and we're getting a taste of ‘College JR' as he's constantly on Twitter (like a true Gen Z-er) updating everyone on what's going in school.
On Thursday, Smith went on social media to share that he was done with his English homework and how the book he just was simple ‘dope':
Finished my English homework. Dope short story about a little girl with six brothers and seeking parents approval. Dope reading 📚

He even went on to share that he was done with his first tutoring session and expressed how grateful he was for his mentor, Mrs. Burke:
First tutoring session in the books! I really like Mrs.Burke extremely helpful

As we can all guess, college life for an NBA superstar will be quite hard and it seems that Smith is still trying to adjust and adapt:

Joined a study group for my African American Studies class on #groupie an my classmates don't think it's me 😂😂😂😂

I'm about to start texting/tweeting in full sentences using punctuation and shit… Homies going to be like "who diss" 😂😂

Though a lot of people are mocking Smith for his decision to go back to school, it's actually quite laudable. The former Sixth Man Of The Year never had the chance to go to college as he chose to go to the NBA after being drafted right out of high school at the young age of 18. Smith was picked up by the New Orleans Hornets as the 18th overall pick and went on to build a solid career in the NBA before retiring after the 2019-2020 season.
