The NBA Finals are officially upon us, and with the Golden State Warriors and Toronto Raptors set to take each other on in Game 1 later tonight, the NBA has released the full list of officials for all seven potential games.

In a statement put out by the league yesterday (via Howard Beck), the league announced the officials that had made the cut. As per usual, the decisions are based on the performances of the officials throughout the first three rounds of the 2019 NBA playoffs.

According to the league, the 12 referees will be: Tony Brothers, Mike Callahan, James Capers, Marc Davis, Kane Fitzgerald, Scott Foster, John Goble, David Guthrie, Ed Leiws, Ed Malloy, Jason Phillips, and Zach Zarba.

For those who watch many NBA games, some of these names will be familiar. Three of the 12 officials will have tons of experience, having officiated at least 10 Finals games. For two referees (Kane Fitzgerald and Ed Lewis), this marks the first ever Finals action they’ll be seeing.

With the referees for the games sorted out, attention now turns to whether or not the Warriors can get fully healthy at some point in the series. Not only is Kevin Durant still out, it’s unsure exactly if or when the superstar forward will be able to rejoin his teammates on the court.

Alongside that, DeMarcus Cousins’ status in the series is also up in the air, although it seems more than likely that he’ll be able to play in at least most of the games. Regardless of who plays, both teams will be giving it their all and are more than equipped to get the job done when it comes to capturing an NBA Championship.
