Veteran small forward Vince Carter is “still working” on finding a team to play for in 2019-20.
Carter wants to play one more season in the NBA before retiring. The former high-flyer played with the Atlanta Hawks in 2018-19.
“We are still working on it,” Carter told Andrew Marchand of The New York Post in a conference room at the NBA’s Midtown offices following a sitdown he had with commissioner Adam Silver. “In the pecking order, I know where I fall.”
Vince Carter averaged 7.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 2018-19 with the Hawks. He shot 41.9 percent from the field, 38.9 percent from beyond the arc and 71.2 percent from the free-throw line.

Vince Carter entered the league back in 1998 with the Toronto Raptors. He has career averages of 17.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 1,481 games with the Raptors, New Jersey Nets, Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks, Memphis Grizzlies, Sacramento Kings and Hawks.
Carter, one of the best dunkers in NBA history, is an eight-time All-Star and was the 1999 Rookie of the Year. It's amazing he's still in basketball shape after all this years.
Hopefully, there's a team out there who gives Carter a chance to play next season.
