Kevin Durant and Team USA fulfilled their ultimate goal on Friday night, beating France in the gold medal game at the Tokyo Olympics. The States got their revenge on Rudy Gobert and Co. after they beat them in the opening contest of the tournament.

The haters of course had their opinions about Gregg Popovich and how he used his players, but Kevin Durant and the US silenced the doubters with numerous dominant wins after falling to France. The Nets star even took to Instagram live following the game to ‘talk his sh*t', also giving the French their respect:

Let's be honest, did we expect Kevin Durant to let Team USA actually fall short of gold? He's arguably the best scorer on the planet and he didn't disappoint in Tokyo, dropping 29 points in the final. Draymond Green of course got his two cents in during KD's video, shouting out his former Warriors teammate.

As Kevin Durant said, the talent on this team is unmatched. People had their doubts about the lack of chemistry between all of these NBA superstars, but in the end, the US came through and head back home with yet another gold around their neck. They definitely have Durant to thank, who was hands down the best player in the entire competition, through and through.
