Oregon’s Bol Bol is one of the most polarizing figures in the NBA Draft, and where he lands is going to be the subject of debate right up until the first round kicks off later tonight. According to some recent reports, it looks as if the Indiana Pacers might have their eyes set on the big man.

Taking to social media earlier today, The Oregonian’s John Canzano noted that the Pacers may be looking at the big man in the draw. According to him, speculation amongst some NBA teams is that he’ll end up dropping low enough for the Pacers to grab him with the 18th overall pick in the draft.

The son of former NBA legend Manute, Bol is a 7’2 center who looks to be one of the most talked about prospects in some time. Although he only played nine games at Oregon, Bol did enough to turn the heads of many NBA teams, including hitting 52% of his three-point attempts.

While the obvious concerns on Bol surround his lean frame and his recent foot injury, the possibilities could be endless with him. He comes equipped with a surprisingly great shooting package, can handle the ball, and his frame makes him one of the tallest players in the league the second he steps onto the court. Of course, thanks to how unknown this NBA draft seems to be, it looks like Bol will suffer thanks to the concerns other teams may have about him.

Despite the uncertainty of the draft, however, Bol will still undoubtedly be a first-round selection, and dropping low enough to be picked by a contending team like the Pacers could do wonders for Bol’s development.
