After what happened last summer, San Antonio Spurs shooting guard DeMar DeRozan knows better than anyone the NBA is a business first.
The Toronto Raptors traded DeRozan to the Spurs in the blockbuster Kawhi Leonard deal. Raptors president Masai Ujiri reportedly told DeRozan at Summer League he wasn't going to trade him, only to send him to San Antonio a few days later.
Article Continues BelowDeRozan played well in his first year with the Spurs. Even though San Antonio lost to the Denver Nuggets in the first round of the playoffs in seven games, it was still a successful season for the Spurs since everyone counted them out when the Leonard trade was made.
However, change is the one constant in the NBA. There haven't been any rumors circulating that the Spurs are going to shop or listen to trade offers for DeRozan this summer, but it wouldn't shock anyone if they did.
DeRozan hasn't even considered the possibility of being in trade rumors this offseason since he loved his first year with the Spurs and playing for Gregg Popovich. But it's fair to say the All-Star guard wouldn't be that shocked if he's moved again this offseason after what the Raptors did to him last summer.
