A great poet once said of NBA greats, “Records maketh man.” Stephen Curry has been one of the most impactful NBA players of this generation, and will forever leave an imprint on the game when it is all said and done. One thing he'll clearly leave behind would be a handful of NBA records that may stand for far longer than his last game playing on the hard wood.

All-Time Best Free Throw Shooter

Stephen Curry isn't just good from beyond the three point arc. He's a master from behind the charity stripe as well. He has a (1) career free throw percentage of 90.56%, which is the best in NBA history so far.

He belongs on a list of three other all-time shooters with the Phoenix Suns' Steve Nash (90.43%) and the Cleveland Cavaliers' Mark Price (90.39) as the only players to break the 90% barrier in NBA history.

Jose Calderon however holds the record for highest percentage in a single season at 98.1%. But the fact is, Stephen Curry is the model for consistency as he maintained his mark throughout his long career.

All Time 3-Point Records

What Stephen Curry is best know for is his automatic shot from three point range. So it's no surprise that he holds the widest array of NBA records from downtown.

He holds the record for (2, 3) fewest games played to reach 1,000 and 2,000 career three-pointers of 369 and 597, proving it's not just a late three point revolution that brought Curry his success but rather a revolution he really started even as a young player still on his rookie deal.

Stephen Curry also holds the record for (4) fastest player to get to a hundred threes in a single season, notching a century mark's worth of threes in just 20 games. This, despite James Harden putting in his best effort the last couple of years of taking as many as he possibly can. The beard still came up short last season when he was attempting a record-breaking number of attempts of his own. He made 98 threes in 20 games, but it took far more attempts for him to do it, showing just how efficient Curry is from deep.

Stephen Curry's magnificent 2015 – 2016 season also brought him the (5) record for most threes in a single season with 402 made in total. That's 5.1 threes per contest in his 79 games played then. Safe to say whoever had him on their fantasy basketball roster won the threes category by a landslide.

Let's Get Weird for Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry also holds a few unique records in terms of achieving statistical marks in both three point and assists categories in consecutive games. He doesn't just hold a couple of these. Steph holds six of these atypical box scores to thoroughly dominate this category.

He has the most consecutive games with the following statistical marks, records 6-11 on this list:

4 threes made along with 4 assists recorded – 269 games

5 threes made along with 5 assists recorded – 165 games

6 threes made along with 6 assists – 77 games

7 threes made along with 7 assists – 31 games

8 threes made along with 8 assists – 17 games

9 threes made along with 9 assists – 2 games

This just goes to show how overall unique Stephen Curry is as a player. He's the best at the three pointer, but also makes sure to stay productive in other areas of the game in the process. Curry uses the threat of his three point shot to effectively find his teammates for open looks.

Steph's Playoff Records

During last year's playoffs Stephen Curry set a pretty impressive new record. Although they eventually fell to the Toronto Raptors in the Finals, Curry left his mark on history a different way. He officially surpassed Ray Allen for (12) most three pointers in their playoff career. He did this in the very first game of the first round against he Los Angeles Clippers. Allen's record was at 385 while Curry sat at 378 prior to the game needing 8 threes to beat the record. In typical Curry fashion, Steph did it in just one game. He drained five triples in the 1st half and three in the 2nd half for 38 points and the all-time mark.

Stephen Curry then proceeded to obliterate that mark, ending the 2019 NBA playoffs with 470 in total. Safe to say Steph's going to do his part to ensure his record stands for much, much longer than Ray Allen's.

Stephen Curry has also spread his three point shooting (13) throughout the NBA Finals. The man has made it to the last 5 consecutive championships series and holds a handful of records when there. No other player has established the most prestigious all-time 3-point records while also making five straight Finals.

He officially became the first player in the (14) NBA Finals one hundred threes club, making it in just game one of last seasons bout against the Raptors.

(15) Stephen Curry also has the most threes made in a single Finals series. He recorded 28 triples during their infamous 2015 – 2016 clash against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Stephen Curry is the pioneer of the modern game. He's also made sure the records show just that.
