Team USA head coach Gregg Popovich is not looking forward to making the last cut on the USA roster.

Team USA is taking 13 guys to Australia, but will only take 12 to China for the FIBA World Cup.

The Team USA roster is currently headlined by Harrison Barnes, Jaylen Brown, Joe Harris, Kyle Kuzma, Brook Lopez, Khris Middleton, Donovan Mitchell, Mason Plumlee, Marcus Smart, Jayson Tatum, Myles Turner, Kemba Walker and Derrick White.

“When you cut people from your regular NBA team, it’s difficult,” Popovich said, with the Associated Press. “We’re going to have to do that. And it’s going to be even more so. I’m dreading having to do that. But it’s got to get done.”

So far, Thaddeus Young and Bam Adebayo have been the only players cut from Team USA. Multiple players have stepped down on their own, with the latest being PJ Tucker, De'Aaron Fox and Marvin Bagley III.

It's hard to guess which player out of the current 13-man roster is going to get cut. Mason Plumlee is probably the least talented player on the squad, but his rebounding and defense could be useful once  the tournament starts. He was also on the 2014 team which won gold.

Gregg Popovich and Team USA will have to make their decision soon, and it's not going be an easy one for Pop.
