If there's any coach in the NBA who knows all about the problem that is Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, it has to be Steve Kerr of the Golden State Warriors.

Speaking with the media prior to the Dubs' Play-In tilt against the defending champions, Kerr gets real on the challenge that is LeBron James, per ESPN's Dave McMenamin.

“There's no bigger challenge in basketball than trying to beat LeBron. He's not only one of the all-time great players, he's one of the all-time smart players.”

There's plenty of history between Kerr and James. The Warriors practically built their dynasty at the expense of the four-time MVP while he was still playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers, going 3-1 in four finals matchups—something that's impossible to blow for Golden State.

We've all read the news. the Lakers' do-it-all forward is a helluva player. His combination of freakish physical traits, uncanny skills, and remarkable basketball IQ has led to him being the GOAT to some. It's been said over and over that James can see plays materialize before they happen. Stories of him calling the opponents' sets while on defense have amazed the basketball world throughout the years.

That's not to say the reigning Finals MVP can't be stopped. Kerr has guided the Warriors to accomplishing the tough task multiple times. Maybe the multi-titled coach is buttering up his team's Play-In opponent to avoid poking the Lakers' bear?

James heads to the Lakers' game nursing an injury. Meanwhile, his rival on the Warriors' side in Stephen Curry has been playing MVP-like basketball as of late. The winner of this matchup will have to endure sleepless nights, figuring out a way to stop the scorching Phoenix Suns led by a Point God.
