New York Knicks guard Derrick Rose was devastated upon learning that his teammate Mitchell Robinson fractured his foot in their 102-96 win over the Milwaukee Bucks at Fiserv Forum on Saturday. The youngest MVP in league history only learned about the full extent of Mitchell's grim development post-match, as he was being interviewed live by Mike Breen.

Derrick Rose, who is no stranger to dealing with devastating and career-altering injuries of his own, was lost for words soon after.

The injury bug has bitten Mitchell Robinson several times already this season, but this latest setback could potentially put an end to his campaign. Robinson appeared to break his foot early in the first period after making a successful deflection. The agony on his face was evident the moment he landed and immediately clutched that foot in pain.

Rose, meanwhile, also just got back from a lengthy absence after battling COVID-19. He's been a terrific mentor for the Knicks' young players since joining the team last month. The 32-year-old playmaker put up 13 points on 6-for-15 shooting from the field in his return.

The defensive-minded Robinson, on the other hand, has been solid for the Knicks this season after fighting for his minutes early on. He was finally earning the good graces of head coach Tim Thibodeau and his injury couldn't have come in a more unfortunate time.

Prior to his injury, Robinson has been norming 8.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks in 30 games. The Knicks have yet to reveal the extent of his injury, but it certainly doesn't look good for him at the moment.
