Emmanuel Mudiay has appeared in 39 games this season for the Knicks. The 22-year-old is averaging 14.7 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game while shooting 45.3 percent from the field, 30.8 percent from beyond the arc and 76.0 percent from the free-throw line.
Mudiay is in his second season with the Knicks. New York acquired him from the Denver Nuggets last year. The 6-foot-5 guard has started 32 games this season. He's proven to be a more effective scorer than Frank Ntilikina, who might see some more playing time now that Mudiay is sidelined.

The Knicks are 10-26 on the season. They have the second-worst record in the NBA and are a walking disaster.
Emmanuel Mudiay is making $4,294,480 this season. He will become a restricted free agent in the summer if the Knicks offer him a $5,758,897 qualifying offer. If New York doesn't offer him that qualifying offer, Mudiay would become an unrestricted free agent instead.
The good news is that Mudiay won't need surgery on his shoulder. It looks like some rest will be enough to get Mudiay's shoulder back to 100 percent.
