Enes Kanter has enjoyed his social media offseason frenzy, perhaps more so than any other NBA player, but even his fun-loving ways could take a wrong turn. The New York Knicks center knows his antics could at times cross the line, like the time he tweeted a photoshopped picture of Adam Silver in a Golden State Warriors jersey, shortly after the DeMarcus Cousins signing was announced.

“Yeah, the Adam Silver thing. I remember I tweeted that picture and five minutes later I sit down and think, “Man, I’m gonna get fined,” Enes Kanter told ESPN's Royce Young. “I texted the Knicks PR guy and said, “Am I getting fined?” He said, “Uh oh, what did you do?” I didn’t get fined.”
“My GM called me, though, Scott [Perry], and said, “Don’t poke every bear.” I said, “OK, I promise. I’ll just poke a few.”
Kanter's humor can at times fly off the handle, but it'd be tough imagining Silver fining Kanter for something including his likeness, which would only make him look more Roger Goodell-ish than anything else.

The Turkish big man surely likes to toe that fine line, though, not afraid to take his shot when he has to clap back at someone in social media, or speak in mind in less trivial matters.
Kanter could be one of the NBA's jokesters, but has also dealt with much deeper issues in his homeland, having poked a giant bear in Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who has axed him out of Turkey by revoking his passport last year and placing a warrant for his arrest, which could put his life as an NBA player in peril.
For the Warriors, they seem to be OK regardless of the joke.
