After the New York Knicks learned about Derrick Rose's most recent injury setback on Friday, the team is now dealing with yet another injury blow to its depleted backcourt. Knicks rookie Quentin Grimes is now set to join D-Rose on the shelf after the 21-year-old suffered a knee injury during Friday's 115-100 loss to the Miami Heat.
According to Ian Begley of SNY, the Knicks will now be without Grimes for at least the next couple of weeks:
Knicks guard Quentin Grimes will be re-evaluated in 2 weeks after further testing to his right knee showed that he wouldn’t need surgery, per sources. He will rest and do physical therapy and then be re-evaluated, per sources. Unclear how much time the promising rookie will miss

The good news here is that Grimes won't need to go under the knife. This significantly improves his chances of returning sooner rather than later. It has to be noted, however, that Grimes coming back in two weeks' time isn't guaranteed. He will be re-evaluated after the said period, and it's very much possible that he misses more time.
Grimes appears to be in good spirits, though, as he posted a positive update via Twitter after the game:
Everything’s all good y’all ! 🙏🏽

Grimes went down on Friday after getting hit by a hard screen by Heat vet PJ Tucker. The injury did look pretty awful on the onset, so it's actually good to hear that the injury isn't as bad as initially expected.

Derrick Rose isn't expected to return until at least one more week which gives Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau quite a headache in the short term. Immanuel Quickley is likely to get all the minutes he can handle along with Alec Burks, who has been a makeshift point guard for New York as well.
