NBA prospect RJ Barrett was excited to hear that New York Knicks legend Bernard King had some great comments about him heading into the 2019 NBA Draft.

King told Marc Berman of The New York Post that he is impressed with the versatility of Barrett, and he feels that the Duke University standout would be a great fit with 2018 lottery pick Kevin Knox. The Knicks legend also raved about Barrett's basketball IQ, scoring prowess, and his ability to put the ball on the floor.

Barrett displayed his offensive skills in his lone season in college, during which he averaged 22.6 points on 45.4 percent shooting.

When informed that King mentioned that he would be a great addition to the Knicks, Barrett could not hide his excitement. He said the he feels “definitely honored” to get some praises from one of the best players of all time.

“Bernard King said something great about me?” Barrett said, per SNY. “Wow, he's one of the best,” Barrett said. “I'm definitely honored and very thankful.”

Barrett is expected to be selected in the top three of 2019 NBA Draft. The Knicks have the No.3 overall pick and will draft behind the New Orleans Pelicans and the Memphis Grizzlies.

Duke star Zion Williamson is projected to go No.1 overall, while Ja Morant is likely headed to Memphis.
