The Oklahoma City Thunder are well within the playoffs. And for Carmelo Anthony, this is all that matters. He doesn't care too much about the actual win-loss record they hold or their position in the Western Conference.
As reported by Fred Katz of The Norman Transcript:
“I know we’re in the mix, some of the mix. I don’t know what that mix is,” Anthony said. “But I just try not to look at the standings because then it’s like, you go into each game feeling pressure. You’re playing tense. You feel like, it’s just too much pressure when you start looking like that.”
Currently, the Thunder hold a 44-30 record for fourth place in the West. They haven't clinched a spot yet but they are definitely in the playoffs.

Though the Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets are highly forecasted to come out of the West, fans and critics will not be too shocked when the Thunder come out with an upset against either of the top two powerhouse teams.
Anthony, regarded as one of the greatest offensive talents in NBA history, is chasing that elusive first title. He has won several Olympics medals, made All-Star teams, and was even named scoring champ, but has never been called an NBA Champion.
Nearing the tail-end of his career, he is averaging just 16.5 points a night for the Thunder — his lowest so far. It was a sacrifice that he had to make. He had to step-down from his usual role as the superstar and center of the team. It seems to have been working well. The Thunder just need to claim that title to put a cherry on top.
