Paul George did everything he could to deliver a victory for the Indiana Pacers in Game 5 on Tuesday night, but it just wasn't enough. The Toronto Raptors went on a furious rally late, just barely overcoming Indiana when Solomon Hill‘s game-tying 3-pointer was waved off, leaving his fingertips right when time expired.
On just 19 shots, George managed to score 39 points while adding eight rebounds and eight assists. It was one of the best playoff performances of his career, but he likely won't look back on it fondly considering the end result.
After the game, PG13 was very clear that he was disappointed with the performance of his teammates, and that if they want to win the next two games and advance, they better pick it up.
“I'm not about putting guys down, putting teammates down, but individually everybody has to bring it,” a forlorn George said, via Candace D. Buckner of the Indy Star.

Article Continues BelowGeorge only sat out for seven minutes, but during that time, the Raptors outscored Indiana by 18 points.
To be fair, George did let off the gas down the stretch. After scoring 37 points in the first three quarters, he only managed to put up two in the final frame.
In the fourth quarter as a whole, the Pacers were outscored by Toronto 25-9. That's how you blow a big lead in the biggest game of the year.
In Game 4, George scored 19 points while the rest of the team shined in a blowout victory for the Pacers. If they're going to force a Game 7, something similar needs to happen as they head back to the Hoosier State.
