The New Orleans Pelicans were dealt a crushing defeat at the hands of the Golden State Warriors in Game 1 of their Western Conference Semifinals matchup, 123-101.

The Pelicans showed some serious fight in the opening quarter, showing off their firepower as Rajon Rondo weaved his way through the Warriors' defense to find open teammates. However, that won't last long as Golden State found that one run that they always capitalize on and they flexed their muscles from then on.

Perhaps the lone bright spot in the opening half of the Pelicans' end was forward Darius Miller. It wasn't because of his performance but only a flicker of life in a somewhat dull first 24 minutes for his team.

After a missed shot by JaVale McGee and a consequent rebound battle, the ball ended up in the hands of Miller who then proceeded to heave a full-court shot to beat the buzzer. Watch a clip of the crazy play below:

Miller finished the game with nine points, three rebounds, six assists, and one steal. Anthony Davis top-scored for the Pelicans with 21 points while Rajon Rondo had a nice all-around game with nine points, eight rebounds, and 11 assists.

The Warriors were led by Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant who scored 27 and 26 points, respectively. Meanwhile, Draymond Green had 16 points, 15 rebounds, 11 assists, three steals, and two blocks.
