With the NBA trade deadline approaching, there are several reports that the Philadelphia Sixers may try to acquire James Harden of the Brooklyn Nets.
This trade makes a lot of sense from both sides. If the Nets had Kyrie Irving on the team for every game, it would make even more sense for them since they would be receiving one of the best defenders in the league. Unfortunately, he is still not on the floor for their home games, which raises some doubts about the arrangement.
The Sixers would be automatic contenders if they made this trade, and teaming him with Joel Embiid would be one of the most terrifying duos in the NBA. That pick-and-roll that both of them could run would be breathtaking to behold, and it would undoubtedly elevate the Sixers to one of the best teams in the NBA, not just in the Eastern Conference.

It's unclear whether Philadelphia will be able to complete a deal for the Nets star before the deadline, but according to The Athletic, the Sixers believe Harden will not re-sign with the Nets and that they will be able to complete a trade before the deadline.
“But the Sixers, sources say, strongly believe he won’t re-sign with the Nets and remain hopeful that Brooklyn sees the light before the deadline buzzer sounds.”
It will be intriguing to see whether the Sixers can pull this off, and if they can, the NBA should be on the lookout because Joel Embiid and James Harden together will be a terrifying sight.
